"7ish/10 . Pretty basic slasher flick but I don’t mean that in a bad way ! It’s a decent flick that has all the usual elements: relatively decent acting, visually interesting enough and not a bunch dialogue with all that screaming lol . Not a masterpiece by any means but not bad for a casual viewing as it is a cheesy Halloween popcorn flick . "
"I liked spending time with these characters. So didn’t actually enjoy them being brutally murdered. They make a convincing group of friends just hanging out at a horror event.
Some of the murders can be silly too. Like the hammer used to ring the bell in a carnival game. Being used to split someone’s head in half."
"When I first saw this movie in the theater, it resonated with me!!! It is a bit cheesy, but the overall concept of the movie captured my excitement. The idea that a killer sneaks into a horror-themed amusement park and starts actually killing amusement goers and everyone all thinks its "apart of the show and experience" is a terrifying thought!!! You pay money to go to this horror themed amusement park to be scared and frightened to find out that an actual murderer is in that mix with you! How do you know if what you're seeing is real or fake? That concept is explored in this movie and that was my favorite part of the entire film!!! If you enjoy slasher movies than this is definitely worth a watch!! This is for sure one of my favorite horror films of all time!!!"
"A little bit of a cheesy premise, but it works as advertised and is pretty fun most of the time. There's only one scene I consider very suspenseful, but the movie is well-paced. Some good gore effects and just enough plot to justify the movie with an ending that could set up a sequel but really doesn't promise one like a lot of other movies do. "
"Could have been an outright classic with a rewrite, better dialog and characters, and a more competent director. I loved the premise for this one. It’s extremely similar to Haunt which is another Halloween time of year staple movie for me but the idea of a lone wolf blending in with the patrons of the theme park while he’s slashing away is a more likely and disturbing thought for me. As stated the foundation for this thing was laid. Great premise, great villain design and motive but the director and writers didn’t push the envelope far enough and there’s not a character in the bunch of our potential victims that you even remotely care about. I also wouldn’t be surprised if 90% of the dialogue between the actors was improvised as it comes off as mostly worthless filler. The villain though is great and if this had been done right we’d probably have had multiple sequels or prequels by now as his MO and at the end the few hints that you get of his motives and backstory are intriguing to say the least. Shame. 6/10. "
