"This is a great anime filled with incredible fight scenes that has lots of heart.
However, Wind Breaker is one of those shows that you have to turn your brain off for while watching. The universe of Wind Breaker does not have law enforcement and relies solely on children to handle all crime. This show is the unrealistic fantasy of a teenager.
All in all, this is still a great show. Logic does not necessarily equal great entertainment. I am stoked to watch the second season!"
"Good watch. Out of the anime to release this year, this was one of the ones I’ve heard the most buzz about, and after having watched it, I’d say it’s warranted. Typically I watch shonen anime where there are huge bombastic attacks, and this was my first one which was down to earth, just ‘supposed’ regular humans that punch very hard. It was a nice breath of fresh air from the anime I typically watch, with the fights being just as well choreographed if not better. The animation, soundtrack, and the choreography on display is great. The one thing that held this up for me were the characters, a few standouts, but I didn’t really enjoy our cast all that much, specifically the protagonist. They kept driving one single point for his character that was supposed to make the audience latch onto him, and for most maybe it did, but for me I needed something more. I hope in the following seasons they do more character work, as they did a lot this season, essentially whenever there aren’t fists being thrown (which is often) they are character building, I just didn’t care for what they built. That can always improve just like anything else, and it’s all subjective. Regardless, I enjoyed the season, and besides not finding the characters interesting, my biggest complaint is that there isn’t more of it. Id recommend it to any anime fans, and even those who aren’t fans of anime and maybe enjoy action movies/shows as the choreography in this is fantastic. I look forward to more! "
