"I am obsessed!!! I can’t believe how good this show is and I haven’t watched it until now. The atmosphere of post WWI in England is captured perfectly with the scars of war and a slew of political movements intertwined with the rise of criminal enterprise as well as actual industries. Even though it strays from history factually it’s very realistic and believable as a work of fiction. So many complex characters played by amazing actors. Gillian Murphy is brilliant and so multifaceted in this. Tom Hardy has outdone himself. Everyone else is also really good. Great cinematography, editing, perfect musical score as well. I feel like watching it over and over, which I’ll probably end up doing. (2/9/2025)"
