"I am almost sorry that I watched this incredibly acted, gritty, suspenseful series starring Tom Hardy as an anti-hero. I'm sorry I watched it because it's so good, yet, you realize that you are rooting for a person that is so unbelievably flawed, and takes revenge very seriously, so seriously that some scenes made me squeamish. There is also a guilt that plagues Tom's character for the entire season which is slowly explained. The series was released in 2017, and there has not yet been a second season because of Tom Hardy's busy movie schedule. The first season has eight episodes which star heavyweight British actors alongside Tom Hardy. Tom plays an ex soldier returning to London for his father's funeral and his inheritance. The story begins when he finds out that he has that he was bequeathed a piece of land that the East India Company wants to kill him for. Each episode is full of wit, unapologetic behavior, and potty mouth from most characters. Every episode builds the plot to an unbelievably exciting crescendo that left my mouth hanging open. I truly hope I don't have to wait too many more years to get a second season. I can only imagine what there is left for this character to do. Warning: ⚠️ sexual scenes, nudity, coarse language, blood and gore. Sidenote: The language that Tom speaks 🗣️ at eerie times of the plot is Twi, a popular African dialect."

"Wow thank you Craig S. I absolutely love the theme and music of the show. It made me somehow more invested in this world. It’s also very catchy. James is an absolutely brilliantly written character. I loved seeing more and more of his backstory throughout. He is insane but also very smart. Loved the back and forth. With James Vs the company and crown. Very entertaining and lots of really cool twists The only complaint which isn’t really one is some parts I just didn’t get at all. Well mainly just the papers and government stuff. Don’t really know how to explain it. The characters are all very memorable. Brace is one of the few characters that actually cares for him. Lorna is somewhat of mother figure. Zilpha hates him but also can’t escape him. Loved how every episode felt very different from the last. Plus they are often in locations we haven’t seen. It’s dark, sometimes funny, and very violent. All my favorite. Also really has a strong tone. Can’t really be explained. The dialogue is very well written and there’s a charm characters add to it when talking. I mainly want to rewatch because of the dialogue. I will for sure rewatch this no lie this time. I will say it’s not for everyone. I honestly at points didn’t think it was for me. But I am In love with this show. Likewise fix your app I am literally using notes to type this. Won’t explain why because I’ll just get frustrated. The witchcraft didn’t get but I ended up loving it. Especially just hearing him say whatever. Top ten show for me for sure. James also is such an intense and cool character. Love his classic line hmmm. "
