" If you are into the mixed martial arts, then you know who Ciryl Gane. This is a French action/drama. He is the leading man here and he doesn't stray too far away from his roots. He plays a former mixed martial arts fighter that kills someone in the ring accidentally and he spends several years just work odd jobs and punishing himself. The man he killed had a son and his mother comes to ask for help because he is in trouble. She guilt trips him saying he owes her. Meanwhile the son witnessed a crime from some really bad guys, and this female detective is on the case. Once they realize they have similar goals they team up. He was a decent leading man and showed a little bit of range for the more dramatic parts. The fight choreography was really good. They get really up close and personal. All the blows looked solid and like they were landing with force. The story is very generic; they get a little ridiculous towards the end with his durability. Nothing special but they executed on the action. I would like to see him in something that doesn't have him basically playing himself. This is entertaining enough for a watch.
