Until Dawn

"I was totally unaware that this movie is based on a video game. I only found that out from some of the reviews that I've seen. So my review here is based solely on the merits of the movie itself. I had fun watching this one. It's like a horror version of Groundhog Day where the night restarts when everyone dies. There's not a lot of backstory to be discovered but they throw a lot of different horror genres into it. Part slasher, part ghost story, grotesque creatures, supernatural elements, and a wide array of different kills. Kind of a mixture of Cabin In the Woods, Evil Dead, and Happy Death Day. I lmfao when bodies started exploding. I totally didn't expect that. Story wise, it was a little weak, but I was fully entertained all the way through. 8/10"
